The signing of this agreement is part of the continuation of cooperation between the universities of France and Uzbekistan and, in particular, the Franco-Uzbek University Forum, which was held in Tashkent and Samarkand from October 7-9, 2021.
This mandate agreement was signed as part of the implementation of the agreement on joint financing of student grants, concluded on May 10, 2021 between the Embassy of France and the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation.
It opens up new opportunities for Uzbek students to receive grants to study in France. Students from Uzbekistan can choose the following areas to continue their studies, these are: engineering, humanities, foreign languages, culture, fashion, law, public administration and even healthcare.
The Embassy of France, the Campus France agency and the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation, combining their efforts, will provide an opportunity for talented Uzbek students to realize their dreams and aspirations, as well as contribute to the development of Uzbekistan thanks to the knowledge and skills acquired in the leading higher educational institutions of France.
This partnership testifies to the attractiveness of France and its 3,500 higher education institutions, and is also part of the "Welcome to France" strategy, which aims to attract more than 500,000 foreign students by 2027 and train "ambassadors" of university excellence of French higher education institutions.
A grant program for training Uzbek students in France has been signed
On January 21, 2022, French Ambassador Orelia Bouchez and Director of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation Adham Bekmuradov celebrated the signing of a mandate agreement concluded between the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation and the Campus France agency (the French agency for the promotion of higher education, international mobility and student admission). This agreement was signed by the heads of these two organizations online on December 21, 2021.
