This was
announced by the press service of the Joqargi Kenges of the Republic of
Karakalpakstan.
It is
noted that the delegation of Karakalpakstan, led by the Chairman of the Joqargi
Kenges, Amanbay Orynbayev, is
currently on an official visit to the People's Republic of China. As part of
the visit, the delegation toured Sichuan
Zhongzhi Shenghe Performance Co., Ltd., a major company specialized in
manufacturing public transportation vehicles.
A meeting
was held with the company's management to discuss the procurement of 54
electric buses and their corresponding charging equipment for the Republic of
Karakalpakstan. During the meeting, views were exchanged on modernizing the
public transport system, introducing eco-friendly vehicles, and developing
transport infrastructure.
As a
result, the parties reached an agreement to implement a project with a total
value of $10 million, which
includes the delivery of the 54 electric buses and charging infrastructure to
the Republic of Karakalpakstan by August 1, 2026.
