This was announced by the consular section of our country's embassy in Russia.

It is noted that starting from September 1, 2026, foreign citizens entering Russia will be required to undergo a mandatory medical examination within 30 calendar days. Previously, this period was 90 days.

Refusal or evasion of the medical examination will result in a fine ranging from 25,000 to 50,000 rubles. Additionally, failure to comply with these requirements may lead to administrative deportation from Russia. If the fine is not paid within the specified period, its amount will be doubled, and the individual will be forcibly deported from the country.

Furthermore, criminal liability has been introduced for manufacturing and distributing forged medical certificates declaring the absence of dangerous diseases.

Based on the above new regulations, the embassy diplomats urge compatriots staying in Russia to strictly follow to the requirements of the current legislation.
