It is
reported that the infant was born with multiple congenital defects, and during
the operation performed by doctors, the additional two legs were surgically
removed.
The
procedure, carried out with the participation of specialists, was successfully
completed. Currently, the baby is under medical supervision, and several more
surgical operations are planned to restore the child's health.
According
to Niso Turdieva, a cardiac surgeon at the center, such cases can be caused by
marriages between relatives, parents not following a healthy lifestyle, and a
failure to undergo timely screening examinations during pregnancy.
"-Although
the rate of covering pregnant women with screening examinations has increased
in recent years, in some cases, insufficient attention is being paid to the
test results. As a result, cases related to congenital defects are still
encountered," the specialist said.
Doctors
noted that being born with four legs is considered one of the very rare
occurrences in world medical practice.
