The parties discussed the development of Uzbek-German cooperation in the field of ecology and climate change, cooperation within the framework of regional programs, environmental monitoring, conservation of biodiversity, as well as scientific and educational cooperation.

During the meeting, information was provided on environmental reforms carried out in Uzbekistan and priority areas of government policy. In particular, they discussed improving the quality of atmospheric air, preserving biodiversity, improving the waste management system, landscaping and the development of environmental education.

Special attention was paid to expanding cooperation within the framework of the GIZ "Green Central Asia" initiative and the ILUCA regional program. It is planned to implement practical projects, exchange technologies and train specialists.

The Uzbek side proposed to implement a joint pilot project on digital monitoring of specially protected natural areas using SMART patrolling technologies, camera traps, geoinformation systems and artificial intelligence.

It is also proposed to develop cooperation with German expert and scientific organizations in order to preserve saiga migration routes and attract technical and methodological support.

Special attention was paid to personnel training. It is proposed to expand the cooperation of "Green University" with universities and scientific organizations in Germany, organize joint summer schools, exchange teachers and students, as well as conduct joint scientific research.

""In addition, the Uzbek side has taken the initiative to develop German language teaching in 14 "green" technical schools at the Green University. Stefan Mayer expressed his willingness to facilitate the establishment of contacts with German partners and to support the creation of German language centers and classes in technical schools.

The parties also discussed the exchange of experts in the field of environmental regulation, certification, standardization, the introduction of the best available technologies, circular economy and waste management.

It was proposed to expand the participation of German companies and scientific organizations in the international environmental exhibition Eco Expo Central Asia 2027, which is planned to be held in Tashkent.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue implementing joint projects within the framework of GIZ programs, expand cooperation in the field of digital environmental monitoring and scientific and educational cooperation, as well as develop partnerships in the field of "green" technologies.
