During the
conversation, issues related to further strengthening Uzbek‑Chinese relations, developing inter‑parliamentary cooperation, and expanding practical interaction in the “Central Asia – China” format were
discussed.
It was
noted that, thanks to the political will and strategic vision of the heads of
the two states, cooperation has reached the level of a comprehensive strategic
partnership.
The
dynamics of mutual visits and contacts between the leaders and members of the
legislative bodies of the two countries, as well as the work of the Inter‑Parliamentary Commission for Cooperation between the Oliy Majlis of the
Republic of Uzbekistan and the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of
China, have been positively assessed.
To further
enhance the effectiveness of cooperation, it is proposed to intensify regular
contacts between the leaders of the parliaments, strengthen the activities of
inter‑parliamentary cooperation groups,
expand contacts between relevant committees, exchange legislative experience,
and hold joint parliamentary and expert events.
Uzbekistan
has emphasized its interest in studying China’s experience in regional
development, poverty reduction, digitalization of public administration,
development of the green economy, personnel training, and stimulation of
innovation.
An exchange
of views also took place regarding the further development of cooperation
between political parties. It was noted that the “Central Asia – China” format
creates additional opportunities for strengthening regional peace, stability,
and sustainable development.
