On the
Uzbek side, the event was attended by Tamila Aliyeva, Deputy Head of the
Presidential Administration for Healthcare Reform, Jamshid Khojaev, Deputy
Prime Minister, heads of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Investment,
Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Ministry of
Employment and Poverty Reduction, the Migration Agency, as well as
representatives of the country's leading medical institutions.
The Saudi
delegation was led by the Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
Fahd bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel. During the meeting, the parties discussed the
implementation of a number of joint projects and promising initiatives.
One of the
key projects will be the construction of a modern multidisciplinary 800-bed
hospital in Ferghana with the participation of Vision International Investment
Company. It is planned to create a Fergana Plus medical campus on the basis of
the medical institution, which will combine medical and educational centers, as
well as a hotel complex.
In
addition, together with Jamjoom Pharma and Sudair Pharma, it is planned to
localize pharmaceutical production in Uzbekistan. In cooperation with SEHA
Virtual Hospital, the parties intend to develop telemedicine and virtual
medical care, and together with Lean Business Services, to introduce modern
digital solutions and artificial intelligence technologies into the healthcare
system.
They also
discussed projects to improve the management of medical institutions with the
participation of Health Holding, the development of centralized procurement and
medical logistics in cooperation with NUPCO, as well as the introduction of
modern medical insurance mechanisms in cooperation with the National Center for
Medical Insurance of Saudi Arabia.
Following
the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further expanding the
partnership and expressed confidence that the implementation of joint projects
would contribute to improving the quality, accessibility and effectiveness of
medical care in Uzbekistan.
