During the
negotiations, the Uzbek side provided information on the development of the
labor migration system in accordance with international standards, measures to
diversify foreign labor markets, prepare candidates for work abroad, as well as
ensure the protection of their rights and legitimate interests.
The parties
discussed the implementation of pilot projects for the employment of Uzbek
citizens in the agricultural sector of the United States, as well as issues
related to the registration of necessary documents.
The U.S.
Ambassador stressed the importance of comprehensive training for participants
in legal labor migration programs. According to him, candidates should receive
full information in advance about their future place of work, working and
living conditions, estimated expenses, support measures, as well as the timing
of their return to Uzbekistan.
In
addition, recommendations were given on how to process documents in accordance
with the established requirements, as well as on pre-checking the visa and
migration history of candidates.
Following
the meeting, the parties agreed to establish cooperation between the Migration
Agency and the consular service of the U.S. Embassy, to organize the exchange
of information, as well as to coordinate in advance the conduct of interviews
with employers and the process of submitting documents.
The meeting
participants confirmed their mutual interest in further developing cooperation
in the field of legal labor migration based on pilot projects and a
step-by-step approach.
