According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the driver of an electric truck, moving through the territory of the MSG "Ukrach", lost control, as a result of which the vehicle with 8 passengers fell into the Narpay canal.

Rescue units promptly arrived at the scene. It has been established that 4 people were rescued by local residents before their arrival. During the subsequent search and rescue operations carried out by rescuers together with the local population, the bodies of 4 more victims were found.

According to preliminary data, the electric torpedo was operated by a 40-year-old local resident. At the time of the incident, he, his wife and 6 minor children from a neighboring household were in the vehicle.

Currently, employees of the Prosecutor's office of the Pakhtachi district, law enforcement agencies and Emergency Services are working at the scene. All the circumstances of the tragedy are being established.
