According
to the decree, starting in 2026, the national Reading Movement (Program) will
be launched annually, aimed at supporting the interest in reading books among
young people studying in secondary schools.
The program
is conducted annually in 3 stages.
The 1st
stage is conducted online after registration on the electronic platform
"kitobxonlikharakati.uz " (the platform), and the 2nd and 3rd stages
are in full-time at the regional and republican levels.
In the
Program, participants compete in 3 age categories and are selected in
accordance with the established procedure.
Winners and
prize-winners in the Senior class categories (Grades 6-8, Grades 9-11) They are
awarded with diplomas, certificates and cash prizes in the following amounts:
1st place:
each of the 2 winners receives a cash reward of 50 thousand US dollars and a
diploma;
2nd place:
each of the 2 prize-winners receives a monetary reward of 30 thousand US
dollars and a diploma;
3rd place:
each of the 2 prize-winners receives a monetary reward of 15 thousand US
dollars and a diploma;
In 5
additional nominations, each of the winners receives a monetary reward of 10
thousand US dollars and a diploma.
