In
January-April 2026, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover (WTO) amounted to $26.3
billion. and it grew by $1.4 billion. or by 5.8% compared to the same period in
2025, the press service of the National Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan
on Statistics reports.
In the
total volume of the WTO, exports amounted to $10 billion, and imports – $16.3
billion (+26.7%).
As a
result, the negative balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to $6.4
billion.
Among the
20 largest partner countries in foreign economic activity, an active foreign
trade balance is observed only with 3 countries - Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and
Tajikistan, while a negative foreign trade balance remains with the remaining
17 countries.
Currently,
the Republic of Uzbekistan has trade relations with more than 175 countries
around the world. China (23.6%), Russia (17.2%), Kazakhstan (6.9%), Turkey
(3.5%) and Afghanistan (2.8%) account for the largest shares in the total
volume of foreign trade turnover.
According
to the groups of countries, the largest volume of foreign trade falls on the
CIS countries – $9.4 billion, of which on the EAEU countries – $7 billion,
trade turnover with other countries amounted to $17 billion. including with the
EU countries – $2.3 billion.
