A delegation consisting of
officials from the Migration Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the
Embassy of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia held a series of meetings regarding the legal
and systematic placement of Uzbek nationals in the Kingdom. During talks with Ahmed Al-Sharqi, Deputy Minister of
Human Resources and Social Development of Saudi Arabia, the parties discussed a
new labor market strategy, modern mechanisms for attracting foreign labor, and
a system for categorizing labor visas based on skill levels.
As a result of the meeting,
it was decided to establish a joint working group between the Migration Agency
and the Saudi Ministry of Labor.
Furthermore, agreements
were reached to train personnel in Uzbekistan for the medical, construction,
tourism, and engineering sectors based on international standards, organize
qualification exams, and launch a streamlined system for placing candidates in
jobs within Saudi Arabia.
During the discussions, the
introduction of targeted education and vocational training programs for
high-demand occupations was also deliberated with the KDOT recruiting organization and other major employers.
