The delegation of Uzbekistan studied Malaysia's experience in conducting an agricultural census

    In order to study Malaysia's experience in organizing and conducting an agricultural census, a study visit to Malaysia was organized at the end of September, in particular to the cities of Putrajaya, Seremban and Malacca.

    The event was attended by Deputy Director of the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ikramov Agzam Anvarjonovich and responsible staff.

    During the visit, the representatives got acquainted in detail with the work done to prepare for the agricultural census in Malaysia and the census process.

    In particular, the responsible staff of the Statistical Office of Malaysia provided information on the history of the agricultural census in Malaysia, the processes of preparation for the census event this year, the coverage of subjects, the GIS technologies used, questionnaires and the system (structure) of indicators in these questionnaires, the implemented Myagricens information system for conducting this census, the administrative data used, and also about the work carried out to control the quality of data obtained based on the results of the agricultural census.

    At the same time, during the visit, in order to familiarize themselves with the census processes, representatives of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during their visit to the cities of Seremban and Malacca, directly participated in a survey conducted in the fisheries sector, in connection with which experience in this area was studied.
