Uzbekistan is one of the first in the world by apricot production

    Since 2001, Uzbekistan entered the top ten apricot producers in the world.
    From 2004 to 2007, the country grew 300,000 tons of apricots and entered the top three. And by 2014, Uzbekistan became the world’s leading country in this area and competes for the leadership only with Turkey.
    According to the State Statistics Committee, as of June 1, 2020, 11.2 thousand tons of apricots worth $10.9 million were exported to nine foreign countries. Among these countries, a high share falls on Kazakhstan – 6 thousand tons, Russia – 3.6 thousand tons, Kyrgyzstan – 1.2 thousand tons. The sale of apricot began in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkmenistan. Compared to the same period last year, the export of apricot increased by 1.3 thousand tons.
