The parties discussed further strengthening of trade, economic and investment partnership, expansion of industrial cooperation and implementation of joint projects.
Special attention was paid to increasing mutual trade turnover from $1.4 billion to $2 billion, as well as developing cooperation with leading German companies. There are 253 enterprises with German capital in Uzbekistan.
The preparations for the upcoming visit of the delegation of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy to Uzbekistan and the 18th meeting of the Intergovernmental Working Group on Trade and Investment in Berlin were considered.
Following the meeting, mutual interest in further deepening practical cooperation and strengthening business ties between the two countries was confirmed.
