Speaking at the opening ceremony, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin referred PRODEXPO to the expositions, which stand in a special row not only in their scale, but also in content.

On 10 February, the PRODEXPO International Exhibition of Food Products, Beverages, and Raw Materials for Their Production began its work in Moscow, Dunyo reported.

The forum, held on an annual basis with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, is considered one of the largest events in the food industry.

This year, the exhibition was launched on an area exceeding 100 thousand square meters, in which 2621 companies from 70 countries of the world demonstrate their best samples of food and drinks. 31 countries are represented by national expositions. The premiere of this year was the national exposition of the Philippines. For the first time, companies from Venezuela and Uganda take part in the exhibition.

According to him, a significant step forward was made in the development of the forum, especially in terms of the business program, which is focused on current topics in the development of the food market.

Uzbekistan is represented at the forum by two exclusive stands organized by the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Agency for the Development of Viticulture and Winemaking under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the Embassy of our country in Russia. Here, a wide range of products was presented by more than 20 domestic companies producing dried fruits and nuts, freeze-dried dried fruits, dried vegetables and fresh fruits and vegetables, confectionery, sweets and chocolate paste, processed cheese, ice cream and semi-finished products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as packaging materials .

As Oybek Usmanov, head of the export and import department of Sladus Leading LLC, noted in an interview with Dunyo News Agency, participation in the forum will create an opportunity to expand the geography of exports, establish direct business contacts with potential partners, declare oneself and fully present the relevant product a ruler.

Director of Cream Mega Cheese Abdulla Karimov believes that Uzbekistan will be able to occupy its niche even in such a highly competitive sector as processed cheese. Naturalness, the absence of chemicals and GMOs, “pleasant” taste qualities - all this, according to the entrepreneur, will make it possible to find fans among gourmets.

    - As part of the exhibition, we held a series of negotiations with Russian firms and companies regarding the delivery of our products. Already there are specific agreements and firm agreements that we will successively implement, Abdulla Karimov said.

Confectionery factory Polat Ramella presented 71 varieties of products at PRODEXPO 2020, which, according to company manager Nafosat Tulaganova, aroused great interest among the exhibitors and guests.

    - Our company is fully export-oriented, and in the Russian Federation we already have regular customers. Therefore, we are faced with the task of entering through Russia to other, even larger, foreign markets for the sale of our products, Nafosat Tulaganova added.

Major international industry forums, conferences, round tables, workshops, presentations, and prestigious professional contests are held as part of the PRODEXPO 2020 exhibition. The event will continue until 14 February.
