Leaders summarize the results of fruitful talks

    The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made statements to the media following the negotiations.

    The President of Uzbekistan highly praised the fruitful outcomes of the meeting, which clearly demonstrated a firm political will to deepen strategic partnership in the interests of the peoples of the three countries.

    It was noted that during the talks, special attention was given to the development of transit corridors, including the effective use of the Turkmenbashi and Baku ports, as well as the joint creation of modern logistics infrastructure.

    Detailed discussions were held on plans to integrate existing and prospective routes in the region to deepen the integration of national transport systems. It was emphasized that Uzbekistan advocates for a coordinated policy in this sphere.

    This primarily concerns issues of tariff policy and the creation of favorable conditions for businesses to access international markets.

    Agreements were reached on joint work on projects for the development of logistics infrastructure and ferry transportation across the Caspian Sea.

    In addition, opportunities for trilateral cooperation in the energy sector were reviewed, including the development of hydrocarbon deposits and the export of generated electricity.

    The central focus of the negotiations was on significantly increasing trade turnover and expanding the scale of industrial cooperation.

    It was emphasized that measures will be taken to promote mutual supplies of high-quality products from national producers, and conditions will be created for the implementation of new investment projects involving the potential of the regions of the three countries.

    The leaders agreed to expand cooperation in the rational use of water resources and in countering environmental threats. In addition, a joint program in tourism and cultural exchanges will be adopted.

    The implementation of the adopted decisions and documents will be carried out by the ministers based on a roadmap.

    In conclusion, the President of Uzbekistan emphasized that this historic meeting will serve to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation among the three countries, contribute to the creation of sustainable trade, transport, and energy corridors, and accelerate the processes of regional integration.
