The Academy of Sciences issued an official statement clarifying that this process is being carried out in accordance with Presidential Decree PD-46. According to the decree, a modern arboretum park will be established on a total area of 250 hectares, covering the Institute of Nuclear Physics and adjacent territories, to improve the city's ecological environment.

Following the established procedure, the Tashkent City Administration (Khokimiyat) will reclaim the land into its reserve before allocating it to the Ministry of Ecology for permanent use. The Ministry of Ecology will then select tree and shrub species suitable for the area's soil and climatic conditions and develop project documentation for large-scale landscaping.

It was specifically emphasized that this land is not intended for construction but is strictly allocated for the creation of a massive green zone—an arboretum —designed to improve air quality.

The Academy of Sciences has urged the public and media representatives not to misinterpret this ecologically significant project or spread unfounded concerns.
