Today, Namangan is a dynamically developing center of entrepreneurship and industry. Over the past eight years, $7 billion of foreign investment has been attracted to the region, and about 8,000 new enterprises have been launched. Agriculture, tourism, and the service sector are actively developing, creating new jobs for the local population.
The purpose of the President’s trip is to review exemplary projects and outline new goals and priorities. The program includes visits to construction sites, industrial, energy, agricultural, water management enterprises, and social institutions.
In addition, a meeting on the region's socio-economic development is scheduled.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also attend the 3rd International Forum on “From Poverty to Prosperity”.
