During the visit, a meeting was held with the rector of the Tashkent University of Information Technology (TUIT) Bakhtiyor Makhkamov, at which agreements were reached on cooperation in the field of economics and IT technologies, student exchanges, joint organization of lectures and seminars, the Dunyo news agency reports.
At a meeting with the rector of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Gulchehra Rikhsieva, agreements were signed on the provision of grants to students for bachelor's and master's degree programs in linguistics at Al-Qasimiya University and on the use of the accelerated Arabic language learning program.
The delegation also visited Samarkand and Bukhara regions, where meetings were held at the state universities of these regions. During these meetings, agreements were reached between the universities to open a center for Arabic language education and culture, finance projects to preserve Islamic cultural heritage sites in Bukhara and improve the skills of Arabic language teachers, introduce Arabic language teaching as soon as possible, and research historical sources.
