The extradition became possible due to the active cooperation of the law enforcement agencies of the two countries. During the virtual meeting, representatives of Interpol discussed issues of operational cooperation in the search and extradition of criminals. During the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the extradition of three persons, after which the Uzbek side was invited to come to the UAE to continue negotiations.
A delegation of the Tashkent Interpol National Security Council met with the leadership of Interpol Abu Dhabi and the Emirate police in Dubai. The parties discussed the presence in the UAE of persons accused of committing crimes in Uzbekistan and exchanged relevant lists.
Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the extradition of 12 wanted Uzbek citizens. All of them were brought to their homeland for prosecution in accordance with the procedure established by law.
