The Uzcharmsanoat Association held a meeting with the Iranian holding company Mokarrar. The topic of the negotiations is the implementation of a new joint project for the production of polyurethane raw materials for the leather and shoe industry.

The management of the Association provided the representatives of the Iranian company with detailed information about the production potential of the leather and shoe and fur industry of Uzbekistan, investment programs and conditions created for foreign investors, as well as benefits provided by the state.

To date, Uzbekistan imports polyurethane raw materials for the leather and shoe, electrical and automotive industries. It is worth noting that the leather and shoe industry in our country is developing every year, production volumes are growing. This, in turn, raises the question of providing our local enterprises with high-quality and affordable raw materials. Currently, polyurethane raw materials for the leather and footwear industry are also imported from abroad.

The Iranian holding company "Mokarrar" is one of the world leaders in the production of polyurethane raw materials. Currently, the company's branches operate in Turkey, China and the UAE. "Mokarrar" supplies its raw materials to more than 1,600 companies.

During the negotiations, initiatives were put forward for cooperation with the Iranian company in three areas. The first direction implies cooperation through direct contacts with local enterprises. The second is working with the Uzcharmimpex subsidiary and using its capabilities. The third direction is the creation of a new joint project for the production of polyurethane raw materials in our country.

During the meeting, representatives of the Iranian company were presented with projects for the production of polyurethane raw materials in Andijan, Namangan regions and Tashkent. The Iranian company expressed readiness for cooperation and detailed familiarization with the projects.

Within the framework of the negotiations, the issues of selling recycled leather and finished leather and shoe products of Uzbek production to Iran were also discussed.
