When determining the social status of a family in order to include it in the register of those in need, the Agency's social worker referred family members for a medical examination as part of the provision of social services. It helped to reveal something that the girl could not tell before. This was the beginning of an official investigation.
In order to ensure her safety, the girl was temporarily placed in a family orphanage, and after a comprehensive assessment, she was transferred to her mother. Today, she is under constant protection and is undergoing restoration. She receives comprehensive medical, psychological and social assistance.
The National Agency for Social Protection provided comprehensive support to the victim and coordinated the necessary services so that the child would receive protection and the perpetrator would receive the punishment he deserved.
On July 24, a court verdict found the man guilty of committing serious crimes against his own child. The court sentenced him to 12 years in prison under article 118, part 3, paragraphs a, b, and e of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The National Agency for Social Protection continues to seek tougher accountability for crimes against children.
This case clearly shows that when the system works, justice is possible and responsibility is inevitable.
Every child has the right to a safe childhood. Our goal is to hear and protect them in time.
The National Agency for Social Protection protects the interests of every child. And this case is a confirmation that evil should not go unpunished. But for this, we must not remain silent, in order to prevent evil from repeating itself over and over again.
