Korea New City to be built in Uzbekistan’s Nurafshan

    Hokim of the city of Nurafshan Muzaffar Saliyev has met with the First Deputy Chairman of Korea Uzbekistan Business Association (KUBA) Kim Chang Keon, in Tashkent region.

    The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Korea New City project.

    Hokim Muzaffar Saliyev welcomed the signing of a bilateral document aimed at implementing a project to build a new city in Nurafshan according to the most modern South Korean standards on an area of ​​150 hectares.

    The new Korean city is planned to house a university, preschool education institutions, a hospital, a park and other socially important facilities.

    KUBA First Deputy Chairman Kim Chang Keon noted that taking into account the growth rate of industrialization of the city of Tashkent and forecasting the emergence of challenges in this regard, the project on the development of the city of Nurafshan promoted by the Hokimiyat will make a great contribution to solving the problem of overpopulation in the country’s capital, inform UzA.
