Foreign Ministry: Embassy of Uzbekistan continues evacuation of citizens from Ukraine

    On March 1-2, 2022, 677 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan were evacuated from Ukraine via the airport of Katowice (Poland) by three planes of Uzbekistan Airways JSC.

    As of March 2 of this year, the total number of Uzbek citizens transported by five flights from Ukraine through Poland amounted to 1,186 people. This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Yusup Kabulzhanov.

    Two evacuation flights are scheduled for today, March 2. The next special flight took off from Tashkent at 07:00, and the next one is scheduled for 10:00. Additional flights are being worked out.

    There are more than 800 citizens of our country on the territory of Poland. Of these, about 350 people are located in the accumulation zone of the state border of Poland, and about 450 people are waiting for departure at the airport in Katowice.

    The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Ukraine, despite the fighting, continues to work on the evacuation of citizens of our country.

    The diplomatic missions of our country in Poland and Ukraine work around the clock. Hot meals are organized for our citizens, and medical services are provided if necessary.
