According to information obtained through diplomatic channels, the updated procedure takes effect on November 1.
Accordingly, citizens of Uzbekistan are required to arrange an entry visa through the diplomatic missions of this country before traveling to Egypt. Tourist trips must be organized through authorized tour operators.
Special requirements for tourists under 40 years of age
Under the new procedure, tourists under 40 years of age can travel to Egypt only when accompanied by close family members—their parents, spouse, or children. In this case, the family is required to have at least 5,000 US dollars in cash at their disposal for the duration of the trip.
Independent travelers over the age of 40 must possess at least 3,000 US dollars in cash.
What documents are required at the border?
Upon entering Egypt, tourists must present a document confirming hotel reservation, mobile communication details, and information confirming the availability of sufficient financial resources.
Additionally, applications to convert a tourist visa into another type of visa during the stay in the country will not be accepted.
Passengers who do not meet the established requirements or fail to provide the necessary documents in full may be denied entry to Egypt. In such cases, measures will be taken to return them via the airline that brought them to the country.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo has urged citizens to take the new requirements into account when planning a trip to Egypt.
