According to FIDE, Uzbekistan topped the list of nations securing qualification spots for the Men's World Cup. For the Women's World Cup, Uzbekistan ranked 13th among qualifying federations.

FIDE data indicates that based on Olympiad performance, 83 national federations earned qualification spots for the men's event, while 45 federations qualified for the women's tournament.

Federations from Europe, Africa, and the Americas decided to reallocate some of their allocated spots to their respective continental championships. Consequently, 17 spots for the men's event and 5 spots for the women's event were redirected to continental competitions.

Each national federation will select its representative for the World Cup from among the team members who participated in the Olympiad in Samarkand.

If all members of a team have already qualified for the tournament through other qualification pathways or decline to participate, the federation reserves the right to reallocate the spot to another chess player.

National federations are expected to confirm their designated representatives between July 1 and July 15, 2027.
