The buildings sold include those belonging
to the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Sports, Ministry of Construction and
Housing and Communal Services, the State Unitary Enterprise “Tourist Service
Center,” the Committee for Roads, the Committee for the Development of Silk and
Wool Industries, and the Public Services Agency.
Another 11 properties have been put up for
auction with a starting price of 1.0958 trillion soums. Pre-sale preparations
are also underway for 20 more properties.
At the same time, auctions are continuing
for buildings belonging to the Agency for Management of State Assets, Ministry
of Employment and Poverty Reduction, Agency for Technical Regulation, Ministry
of Water Resources, and organizations under their authority.
The sale of the buildings is being carried
out under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 146, adopted on March 7, 2025.
The resolution provides for the relocation of ministries, government agencies
and related organizations to the territory of New Tashkent.
A total of 150 government bodies and organizations
with state participation are planned to be located there.
The resolution also provides for the sale
or lease of 83 properties belonging to these organizations in Tashkent.
More than half of these properties have
already entered the process: seven buildings have been sold, while another 31
properties are at different stages of preparation and sale.
The sale of the buildings is taking place
alongside the development of new administrative infrastructure in New Tashkent.
The funds received from the sales will be used to help develop this
infrastructure.
The relocation of ministries and
government agencies to New Tashkent is therefore being carried out as part of a
broader plan to create a new administrative center.
