The event will include a meeting of the
interparliamentary commission, meetings between local representative bodies and
youth parliaments, as well as the Fourth Business Forum of Women Entrepreneurs
of Uzbekistan and Belarus.
The third meeting of the Commission on
Interparliamentary Cooperation between the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of
Uzbekistan and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus
will discuss priority areas of interparliamentary cooperation and future tasks.
The plenary session of the Uzbek-Belarusian
Interparliamentary Forum will be attended by the heads of the two countries’
parliamentary chambers, representatives of the government, ministries and
agencies, higher education institutions, and businesses.
The plenary session will focus on employment and
poverty reduction, higher education, science and innovation, social protection,
maternal and child health, and cooperation between businesses.
Four main sessions will be held as part of the Fourth
Business Forum of Women Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Belarus. They will
discuss industrial cooperation, joint investments, the effective use of human
resources, cooperation in agriculture, food security and biotechnology,
partnerships in humanitarian and social areas, and joint tourism projects.
The forum is expected to result in the adoption of the
Khiva Declaration, as well as the signing and exchange of commercial contracts
and cooperation agreements or memorandums.
An exhibition of national products from Uzbekistan and
Belarus under the “Made in Uzbekistan” and “Made in Belarus” brands will also
be organized, according to the press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis
of Uzbekistan.
