The sides noted the special role of cooperation in the field of education within the framework of Uzbek-Hungarian relations.
"Education is an important bridge that brings together the younger generations of our countries," L. Trochani said.
The Rector proposed to attract Uzbek students among foreign students who want to study international relations and political science to the Center for Central Asian Studies, which is planned to be established at Karoli Gaspara University, and noted the possibility of allocating educational grants under the program "Stipendium Hungaricum" of the Hungarian government.
He added that the center, along with providing higher education, will also conduct scientific research, and there are no analogues of such a center in other European countries. The educational process at the center is planned to begin from the 2024/2025 academic year.
It is noted that a new educational program on energy law has been launched at Karoli Gaspara University, which is also open to international students. Students from Uzbekistan can apply for training in this direction. Energy law, in particular the issues of legal regulation of the industry, are currently relevant not only in the European region, but also around the world.
First Deputy Minister Karimov proposed to create a "Corner of Uzbekistan" at Karoly Gaspard University in Budapest, where the culture, language, literature and history of Uzbekistan will be presented. The proposal was supported by Rector L. Trochani.
In addition, the First Deputy Minister proposed to hold the third forum of rectors of Uzbekistan and Hungary in Uzbekistan next year.
Recall that the first forum of rectors of Uzbekistan and Hungary was held on June 21-23, 2021 in the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara, and the second forum was held on May 18-19, 2023 in Budapest.
During the guest's visit to Uzbekistan, meetings with rectors of a number of universities in Samarkand and Tashkent are also planned.
