In our country, in recent years, mechanisms that ensure openness and transparency of the activities of state bodies and organizations, as well as the institution of public control, have begun to be effectively put into practice.
Thus, over the past period, 3 laws, 2 decrees and 2 presidential resolutions, 2 government resolutions and 1 departmental document have been adopted aimed at regulating the sphere of openness directly.
At the same time, the practice of posting 35 socially significant information by state bodies and organizations on the official websites of state bodies and the open data portal has been introduced.
By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 14, 2022, the Openness Index was introduced, aimed at assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of the work carried out by state bodies and organizations on openness, which raised the work in this direction to a new level.
In this regard, Senator F. Bokiev emphasized that the Decree stipulates that reports of the first heads of state bodies and organizations on the work to ensure openness are heard every six months at the meetings of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
