The project was initiated in
October 2025 by Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration, and
is being implemented by the "El-Yurt Umidi" Foundation in cooperation
with Oxford University and the Alisher Navai Tashkent State University of Uzbek
Language and Literature.
At the Summer School,
Oxford University students and researchers will have the opportunity to
intensively study the Uzbek and Chagatai languages, as well as strengthen their
knowledge in the history, literature, Sufism, Jadidism, manuscript heritage,
and national culture of Uzbekistan.
The educational program
covers the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara, and also includes visits
to museums, historical monuments, libraries, and handicraft centers.
The Summer School serves as
an important practical stage of the "Oxford Uzbek Studies Program,"
promoting the Uzbek language, history, and culture widely in the international
academic arena.
