During his stay in Washington, the President of Uzbekistan held productive talks at the White House with President Donald Trump and participated in the C5+1 summit of Central Asian leaders and the United States.
Agreements were reached to develop the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States and to deepen cooperation between Central Asia and the United States within the “C5+1” format.
The Leader of Uzbekistan also met with Senator Steve Daines and Representatives Carol Miller, Bill Huizenga, and Sydney Kamlager-Dove.
The President of Uzbekistan received U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, President and Chairman of Export-Import Bank of the United States John Jovanovic, Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation Ben Black, and Global Chief Procurement and Supply Chain Officer of General Motors Shilpan Amin.
As part of the business program for the visit, a roundtable was held with the U.S. business community in attendance.
Following the meetings and negotiations, several bilateral and multilateral documents were signed.
Upon the conclusion of the visit, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan departed for Tashkent.
