The President of Uzbekistan speaks in favor of developing a partnership with the UAE in artificial intelligence

    On January 14, as part of the business program of his stay in Abu Dhabi, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications of the United Arab Emirates, Omar Sultan Al Olama.

    The heads of Presight Thomas Pramotedham, AIQ Magjan Kenesbay and Khazna Hassan Al Naqbi, and the President of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, Eric Xing, attended the meeting.

    Presight, AIQ, and Khazna are the leading companies in big data analysis and artificial intelligence. Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence is the world’s first higher education institution specializing in artificial intelligence research.

    At the meeting, ways to expand strategic partnership with UAE companies aimed at developing advanced technologies and their successful implementation in various industries were discussed.

    Agreements were reached to enhance cooperation in developing generative artificial intelligence, including using large language models in energy and creating a large data processing center in Tashkent.

    Particular attention was paid to intensifying exchanges with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. The President of Uzbekistan proposed launching a student training program and adopting a roadmap for training highly qualified personnel in this area.

    Plans were discussed for the joint launch of research laboratories, creating technology clusters, and introducing innovative solutions for contactless payment transactions.
