The President of Uzbekistan noted with particular satisfaction the progressive development of a special strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Korea, primarily in the trade and economic sphere.

At the meeting, issues of enhancing practical cooperation with the SK Group company on the implementation of high-tech projects, particularly the organization of copper foil production in Tashkent region, were discussed.

The primary attention was paid to promising projects for deep processing raw materials and producing finished products with high-added value. Plans for training engineers and conducting scientific research in the semiconductor industry were supported.

The importance of the active participation of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry in attracting direct investment from leading Korean companies to implement cooperation projects in priority sectors was emphasized.
