The event was attended by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
At the meeting, the main results of joint work in 2024 were summed up and the priority tasks of multilateral cooperation for the coming year were considered.
The importance of developing joint measures to expand intraregional trade and cooperation, primarily through further eliminating barriers to mutual trade, was emphasized.
Views were exchanged on the prospects for developing multifaceted partnership in new areas. This includes creating engineering schools, developing Internet technologies, the big data industry, the creative economy, green energy and peaceful nuclear energy, and introducing digital solutions.
Current issues on the regional and international agenda and enhancing practical cooperation within the CIS in the fight against common challenges and threats were also discussed.
