In accordance with the program of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, a solemn ceremony was held to present the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the highest award of the Organization – the CIS Badge of Honor for his outstanding contribution to strengthening friendship, good neighborliness, and multifaceted cooperation.
It should be noted that in the last few years, Uzbekistan has intensified its participation in the activities of the Commonwealth.
The country has joined the work of 24 industry cooperation bodies, fully participating in the activities of 65 CIS structures.
During this period, the President of Uzbekistan put forward about 70 initiatives in many vital areas. Thanks to the support of the Commonwealth member countries, most of them received practical implementation.
