The enterprise, worth almost $22 million, was organized by Samarkand-based company Sam-Antep-Gilam in 2020. The second phase of the project was launched last year. The plant has equipment from Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France and Turkey. 420 people are employed.

Carpets, polypropylene yarn and other products are produced here. They are exported to the United States, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.

The third stage – the production of yarn from acrylic fibers has been launched this year. The production capacity has reached 2.2 million square meters per year. It is expected that 45 percent of the production will be shipped abroad, and annual exports will exceed $7 million.

The Presidents got acquainted with the production process and the showroom of the enterprise.

A presentation of industrial goods of Uzbekistan was held. Officials of related industries of the two countries were instructed to exchange experience and develop trade.
