The Presidents discussed the current issues of further deepening Uzbekistan – Tajikistan strategic partnership and the development of regional interaction.

The importance of the practical implementation of the agreements signed following the high-level visit to Tajikistan on 10-11 June this year was noted. The main attention was paid to promoting cooperation projects in trade, industry, energy, agriculture, transport and other sectors of the economy, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchange programs following the adopted roadmaps.

The Leaders exchanged views on the emerging situation in Central Asia and noted the need for continuing close dialogue and coordination of efforts to ensure security and stability, strengthen good-neighborliness in the region.

The schedule of the upcoming multilateral events, including within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and other international structures were also considered.
