The silver medal won by the Netherlands' Thomas van Vaanroy reached in 59.35 seconds, and the bronze was won by Ukraine's Oleksey Virchenko reached in 59.45 seconds.

It should be noted that with this win, Bolotov became the first male Uzbek swimmer to win a gold medal at the World Championship.

Significantly, the bronze medal, which was the Uzbekistan national team's first of the championship, was also secured by Yegor in the 100-meter freestyle.
