Bringing together nearly
300 para cyclists from 47 countries around the globe, the world championship
featured members of our national team, with representatives Marjona Pardaboeva
and Pokiza Ahmadbekova capturing a total of 3 gold and 1 silver medals. This
milestone achievement marks the highest performance ever recorded in the
history of Uzbek para cycling at World Championships.
Today, our compatriots
received a warm welcome at the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport
from officials of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan, the Ministry
of Sports, the Uzbekistan Cycling Federation, and the Tashkent Regional Sports
Administration, alongside media representatives and their families, the
Paralympic Committee press service reported.
