    The first Ambassador of Uzbekistan presented his credentials to the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina

    Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, the first Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Bosnia and Herzegovina with residence in Vienna, presented his credentials to Zeljka Cvijanovic, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

    During the dialogue, which took place after the solemn ceremony in the building of the Presidium, the prospects for the development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina were discussed. Special attention was paid to the issues of strengthening cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural and tourism spheres, the Dunyo news agency reports.

    The head of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zeljka Cvijanovic, highly appreciated the large-scale reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and their results.

    Both sides confirmed their readiness to bring relations to a qualitatively new level.

    Recall that Bakhtiyor Ibragimov was previously accredited as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Austria, Albania and Slovakia.

    In November 2023, the diplomat presented his credentials to Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen, in January 2025 to Albanian President Bayram Begay, and in March 2025 to Slovak President Peter Pellegrini. In October 2023, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov was also accredited as an official representative of our country in such international organizations as the OSCE, UNODC, the CTBTO, the IAEA and other UN structures in Vienna.
