According to the agreement, the parties agreed on the joint development of the non-cash payments market in Uzbekistan and the launch of the UnionPay-HUMO card.
This step will ensure the expansion of payment methods for Uzbek residents both in their daily lives and during trips to foreign countries, including China.
To date, more than 230 million UnionPay cards have been issued in 81 countries, and UnionPay's payment acceptance network is spread across 183 countries, covering almost 67 million online and offline retail outlets and 1.7 million ATMs worldwide.
Over 23 million cards have been issued by the national payment system HUMO, and in the country it is possible to make payments in more than 200 thousand terminals, as well as withdraw cash from more than 12 thousand ATMs throughout the country.
