On September 15, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region and reviewed the conditions created at the “Renaissance” children’s health camp.

Today, education and youth policy in Uzbekistan are prioritized at the level of state policy. Modern educational institutions are being built and equipped, and young people are provided not only with general education but also with specialized knowledge in line with their abilities. In recent years, 14 Presidential schools, 201 specialized schools, 2 sports schools, and 9 schools of creativity have been opened in the country. Their teaching and assessment system has also been introduced in an additional 1,500 schools.

As a logical continuation of these reforms, special attention has been paid to preparing gifted students at the international level. Last year, a Center for Subject Olympiads was established, and this year an international school was opened.

At the initiative of the Head of State, preparation of youth for admission to prestigious Ivy League universities in the United States has been launched. A national program has been approved for this purpose. This year, 1,500 students were selected and assigned 208 mentors from the Presidential and specialized schools.

The “Renaissance” camp has become part of this system. Here, students attend three-week intensive courses throughout the year. The top 40 participants will be sent to Ivy League universities for exchange programs.

The camp is designed for nearly 500 students and includes modern administrative, educational, and residential facilities. For the convenience of visitors, a hotel, dining hall, and parking lots have been provided.

Summer seminars have brought together Olympiad winners, holders of international language certificates, and children from socially vulnerable families. Taking advantage of equal opportunities, they strengthened their knowledge and gained a solid foundation for the future.

If in the past camps were perceived merely as places of recreation, this approach has now fundamentally changed. The “Renaissance” camp has transformed into a space for education, spiritual development, and innovation.

The President reviewed the conditions in the facilities and the projects of the students. STEAM classrooms, a flight simulator, and science laboratories help turn children’s interests into practical skills. The library broadens their knowledge, sports grounds strengthen their health, and creative workshops support engagement in art and literature. The picturesque nature and friendly atmosphere inspire and motivate young people.

The Head of State also met with the leadership and graduates of the New Uzbekistan University.

“The potential, energy, and aspirations of our youth are enormous. If we, as a state and a nation, provide quality education, our children will become leaders in all fields”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized.

As part of the visit, the project of the Al-Khwarizmi University campus was presented. The initiative aims to create new conditions for unlocking the knowledge and talents of young people. The Head of State gave instructions for the effective implementation of the project and for ensuring high quality.
