The results of the work done on sending young scientists to foreign scientific internships are summarized

    On December 26 of this year, a round table was held on the topic "Summing up the results of the measures taken to strengthen the scientific infrastructure of higher education and scientific organizations in order to develop science in our country and send young scientists to foreign scientific internships."

    During the event, information was provided on the tasks performed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in connection with providing special attention and support to young scientists.

    Tavakalov Dzhonibek, Executive Director of the Science Financing and Innovation Support Fund under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, noted that from 2018 to the present, more than 700 young scientists from more than 30 leading foreign countries, such as the USA, Germany, Great Britain, South Korea, and Japan, have completed internships. In particular, this year the Fund has allocated 16 billion soums to send 250 young scientists to prestigious scientific organizations around the world.

    During the internships, young scientists conduct scientific research together with professionals in their field, acquire skills and experience, and strengthen cooperation with foreign scientific institutions.

    In 2018-2022, 171.7 billion soums were allocated from the Fund to equip scientific laboratories of scientific and higher educational institutions with 270 types of modern scientific laboratory equipment and additional equipment. 66.0 billion soums have been allocated for the purchase of 170 types of scientific and laboratory equipment for 20 scientific and higher educational institutions this year.

    In addition, during the event, 3 young scientists who have completed internships at the most prestigious scientific organizations in the world shared their experience and knowledge with the participants of the event. Employees working at the scientific research institutes of the Academy of Sciences provided information about the scientific laboratory equipment purchased for these institutes and projects and research.

    Following the results of the event, special certificates were awarded to young scientists who took an active part in it.
