The Ambassador of Uzbekistan presented his credentials to the Prince of Monaco, opening a new page in bilateral relations

    On October 7, the newly appointed First Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Principality of Monaco with residence in Paris, Nodir Ganiev, presented his credentials to Prince Albert II.

    During the conversation held as part of the award ceremony, Albert II highly appreciated the progress of reforms implemented in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Dune news agency reports.

    The Prince of Monaco, known for his commitment to environmental issues and environmental protection, expressed interest in the development of large-scale renewable energy projects in Uzbekistan, praised efforts to transition to a green economy and the ambitious goal of generating 54% of electricity from renewable sources by 2030.

    The Prince of Monaco sincerely congratulated Uzbekistan on hosting the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand in October-November this year. He stressed that this prestigious event is a vivid expression of Uzbekistan's openness to the world community and its foreign policy activities.

    The Uzbek ambassador, in turn, stated that he would make all necessary efforts to further develop Uzbek-Monegasque relations.

    Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Monaco were established on November 29, 2013.

    Nodir Ganiev was appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to France and presented his credentials to President Emmanuel Macron in September 2024. The diplomat has also been concurrently serving as our country's ambassador to Portugal since May of this year.
