So, on April 6 of this year, at a meeting with the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the IPA CIS Council, V. Matvienko discussed issues of deepening bilateral cooperation and expanding inter-parliamentary ties.
Matvienko stressed the importance of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and expressed readiness to continue active contacts in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
On the same day, T. Narbayeva, during a meeting with Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey Numan Kurtulmus, discussed issues related to the prospects for the development of relations between the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and the Parliament of Turkey.
In particular, it was mentioned the need to expand the possibilities of parliamentary diplomacy in carrying out tasks aimed at developing cooperation between the two countries.
The parties also agreed to expand interparliamentary cooperation and interaction between the upper chambers of the two countries through various visits and forums.
