The agenda of the high-level talks includes issues related to the development and strengthening of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, as well as the expansion of multifaceted cooperation, primarily in the political, trade-economic, transport, water-energy, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
As part of the visit, the heads of state will attend the launch ceremony for the Shavat – Dashoguz border trade zone.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will exchange views on international and regional agendas.
Following the summit, a Joint Statement is expected to be adopted, and a package of bilateral documents is expected to be signed.
The President of Turkmenistan will also participate in the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
