This train, named after the great commander Jaloliddin Manguberdi, is the first of six “Hyundai Rotem” trains to be supplied to Uzbekistan. The train consists of seven cars and can reach speeds of up to 260 kilometers per hour.

The white trainset with tinted windows is decorated with blue, green, and red stripes reminiscent of Uzbekistan’s flag, as well as the inscription “Jaliloddin Manguberdi”. The train is 175 meters long and has a capacity of about 390 passengers across three classes: VIP, business, and economy.

The train has been specially designed taking into account Uzbekistan’s climatic conditions: it is equipped with systems resistant to dust, extreme high and low temperatures, and sandstorms, and is intended for long-distance routes.

In the near future, the “Jaloliddin Manguberdi” train will begin operating on the Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva route. The travel time is expected to be 7 hours.

During the trip, the Head of State held a warm conversation with regional representatives, labor veterans, and proactive youth.

An exchange of views took place on the large-scale transformations underway in the country, the major projects being implemented, and the initiatives carried out for the well-being and convenience of the population.

Upon arrival in Narpay, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the activities of a greenhouse cultivating strawberries using hydroponic methods in Narpay district of Samarkand region.

Samarkand has historically had a well-developed agricultural culture, with extensive experience in the efficient use of land and water resources. In Narpay district as well, increasing attention is being paid to the rational use of every plot of land and available water resources, as well as to the introduction of advanced agricultural technologies.

Today, interest is growing in cultivating produce using hydroponics. Among the leading farms implementing this innovative approach is the Narpay Qulupnay enterprise, which is achieving high economic efficiency.

The total cost of the project is $650,000, and a modern greenhouse has been constructed on a 1-hectare area. This greenhouse can produce up to 50 tons of strawberries per year.

Currently, the enterprise supplies its products under the “Narpay Qulupnaylari” brand to major local retail chains. This is an important factor in ensuring that the domestic market receives high-quality, environmentally friendly products.

Using hydroponic technology, strawberries are grown without soil, using specialized nutrient solutions. The plant roots develop not in soil, but in a water-permeable coconut substrate. At the same time, essential minerals are delivered directly to plants through water, reducing their energy expenditure and accelerating their growth. As a result, yields are several times higher compared to traditional methods.

In addition, hydroponic technology makes it possible to obtain a large volume of produce on a small area. Most importantly, the absence of soil reduces water consumption by up to 80 percent. Since the risk of plant diseases is minimal, the use of chemicals is kept to a minimum. This ensures the environmental safety of the products and fully meets modern requirements.

Water-saving technologies have been introduced in the greenhouse. In particular, a large reservoir has been constructed to collect rainwater and use it efficiently. In addition, automated hydroponic equipment, solar panels, and energy-efficient lighting systems have been installed, which help reduce production costs.

The particular importance of such projects in ensuring stable year-round supplies of agricultural products was emphasized. Information was also presented on the entrepreneur’s plans.

In particular, it is planned to expand the project by constructing additional greenhouses on 60 hectares. As a result, production volume will increase to 300,000 tons per year. New jobs will be created.

The Head of State stressed the importance of expanding such greenhouses in households as well to create sustainable sources of income.

“Today, as in all sectors, it is necessary to use artificial intelligence in this area effectively. If the work is properly organized, people are trained in this field, and the Narpay experience is widely disseminated, our people will be able to grow produce using hydroponic methods year-round, supply the market, and earn a good income”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
