The quality of services for the agricultural sector is improving

As part of his visit to Jizzakh region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev also visited the Agromarkaz agricultural enterprise complex in Sharaf Rashidov district.

Thanks to the nationwide attention given to agricultural development, opportunities in this sector are expanding, helping improve crop yields. Agro-centers are being established across the regions to provide farmers and dehkans with comprehensive services.

Such a center has begun operating in Sharaf Rashidov district of Jizzakh region.

The center offers services such as a plant-protection laboratory, a veterinary pharmacy, agronomist consultations, seed and seedling supply, construction of household greenhouses, sales and maintenance of mini-machinery.

All agricultural services here are organized according to the “one-stop shop” principle. The first floor of the center, located on a one-hectare site, houses stores selling plant-protection products and seed materials, a veterinary pharmacy, an agro-market, facilities for mobile service teams, and eight additional service rooms.

The plant-protection laboratory is located on the second floor. In addition, a room for soil and water analysis has been set up here, along with offices for entomology and phytopathology.

The complex also accommodates the regional department of agriculture, branches of the Agro-Industrial Development Agency, the agro-inspection service, the seed-production center, the Karakul Sheep Breeders’ Association, and other organizations serving the agricultural sector.

The Head of State reviewed the agro-center's activities and provided recommendations to expand its operations, broaden its service offerings, and create greater value in agriculture.
